I think that Jasper Johns is awesome. I am studying him right now in my ART 100 and we looked at one of his pther paintings that I really liked called " Zero to Nine". I like the way he sets a grid up on his canvas and uses it in a very simplistic way and then goes outside of it and uses bright primary colors.

Johns has always been a favorite of mine for the way he never seems to have "artist's block". His famous idea of taking something, doing something to it and then doing something else to it by way of making art has always struck me as suprememly pragmatic.

What a wonderful thing to have found so early on, a working method that suited his temperament, his intellect and the times.
