when you look over the image and pan side to side, it gives the illusion that the circles are turning. i could stare at this thing for hours

Posted by: Bryan Kibbe at September 19, 2004 11:30 AMI have a guess as to why the circles are moving. I learned in a psych class that your eyes are actually vibrating. They vibrate because our brain stops paying attention to sensory info if it is unchanging. This is a way to filter our overwhelming sensory info being taken in. In order to keep the info changing the eyes vibrate, and when the little dots are arranged the right way, we think they are moving.
