I don't know why this picture disappeared from my screen...
I remember it being a strong photo with an intimate feeling. Private space, depth of field that makes one feel involved with the space and figure in it.
That it was a photograph made it something of a document... I couldn'tt help but think of you taking the picture and being in that time and place...
so, the photo assumed a life beyond just the image to me.
it's back.

I think that it gives an intimate feel in it because the person in the picture looks naked and vulnerable to the person who is taking the picture. I also like the way that the picture blurs as it goes back, I think that it could show how the person taking teh picture is trying to protect the person in the picture and show that they love them by that.

that is exactly what i was going for. the intimacy, the protection, yet the vulnerability.
david.
p.s. - the blur is called depth of field.
Posted by: David Siciliano at October 1, 2004 03:30 PMthis picture gives me a feeling of intimicy because it involves a fuzzy naked looking figure on a bed. infact it reminds me of a "love" card i bought @ the hallmark store one time. it is they type of picture you can lok @ and get several different feelings.... i think its a great photo!!
