This is what I call art. These pictures make me interested. I can find different meanings for all of them. The tree with the women sticker on it... you can take it as women are higher ranked than some people give us credit for, yes our "E"nergy might fail on a us a bit but we have the strength to keep going. ( I know a little sexist there but I had to!)
The field picture is just cool in itself for the outlinesing of the picture. The fog look on it's borders.
Then there is the one that catches my eye. The last one, the TV screen in front of the city. Who would have thought to put that comparison. Relaxation... blue sky, calm waters... then behind you see a city, Stress... dirty, gray sky, looks gloomy, smog in the air. Which place would you seriosuly prefer? I wouldn't take a second htought and take the relaxation. But this is life and we live in the backdrop. We have stress and we have worries that bog us down, but what helps us get through it is within our beliefs or within hopes/dreams of better places.
So... thank you Amy for posting htis, looks wonderful. This is my kind of art, finding hidden meanings wherever I can.
i have to agree with staci on these photographs. They really catch your attention and draw you into the picture. My favourite is the picture of the city in the background and then in the forefront is a scenic view of the beach. It is a simple reminder to aim for the beach, rather then get caught up in the city.
Posted by: Christine Brown at September 30, 2004 11:19 PMThere is no single object in any of these pictures that is all-important, but rather there is an unseen quality of synthesis in each picture that directs the eye towards a maligned dimension. Fascinating. The manipulation of the eye imposes a certain feeling of narrative in each, that is, to look at something from such a different perspective has altogether different connotations than a typical picture staged right before the eye.
