So, this guy made an animation of a robot walking, turned each frame into a stencil, and painted them on various surfaces around town. Then he photographed the stencils, and turned them back into an animation. The result is a single animation of a robot walking, with a constantly flickering series of city shots around it. Very weird.
I found this on boingboing.net, who found it at plasticbag.org, which are both sites worth checking out every once in a while.
