workshop

Hi Adam,

I've been looking over the fall exhibition schedule to see if anything
jumps out as a learning experience. "Ordinary Aura" absolutely does
just that.

I was already hoping to create a kind of collaborative process class or
workshop before I saw the show information. What these artists are
working with in terms of materials and processes seems likely to
translate into an inspired collaborative project created locally.
Potential ramifications would include area artists and students in
various disciplines working together and communicating more often even
after the project is completed.

First, do you know if any of the artists are planning to be in town for
the reception or any time during the show? And second, would you like
to brainstorm ideas for a one-day workshop?

Thanks for your help. I'm excited to see the show.

very interested in being involved with this somehow--seems in line with our very manner of contemplating and communicating about the exhibit via the blog.

I also would love to be part of it, though I don't know how it'd fit into the teaching schedule. I would like to be there for the reception, though.

My first thought when I picture truckloads of students coming in for a "lesson" has to do with BLIND DRAWING. I wrote a comment related to the Blazing Tree picture about "feeling" an image, channeling a picture by touch. Can we talk about this? I imagine some very unusual woprks might occur...

Adam, by the way, this is really great. I am glad that this is getting some community attention and could be of some service to the UICA. I think we will be in attendance for the receptioni... as long as it is held right at the start of the show while we are there installing.
