in the pins and needles dept -

I thought it would be fair to let y'all know that, as happens often with me, I keep changing my mind about what I'm bringing up there. I've been thinking a lot about how I relate to the content of this show, and feeling like the sound stuff in the ceiling actually would be a bit of a cop-out - fun, but not really about anything that Matters to me in our discussions here.

So, I'm looking around. not sure yet which of a few difft things will be the thing. Not like I've ever posted pictures of progress here anyway as have some of you, but I just thought I should keep you posted to be fair.

Oh, and I've caught the blog bug too -- using one for my video class this semester. Fun!

there still might be sounds in the ceiling though, just different from my original idea of simulating ghosts and stuff...

kevin
i love the suspense
you have talked about quite a few possible options for the show
one initial idea used phones and "dead air"
what happened with that project

i think sound is a key element to this show
especially with the large open space in that gallery
once even we talked about birds

im back to sound today, I think to stay, but I'm afraid it's not birds...something more about alarm, and the scary parts of our references...

kevin. i feel as if we are talking as two left in a dusty ghost-town, as we have all moved on to different, more active blogs. ordinary aura has been abandoned, and here we are like dudes with metal detectors on an empty beach.
it is a weird feeling.
in fact, i call out and listen for an echo.
somehow there is a quiet noise, wind.

yeah, I have put my ear to this one a lot less often over the last few weeks, knowing that the lines had gone quiet.

I've wondered about why, and wonder if we'll talk about this next week...

Sounds like Wolpa's doing a little Neil Young "On the Beach"...

I guess as everyone got a bit panicked with pre-show working and jitters we all got off-line. I am so intrigued with thinking about sound in that space. What are some of your thoughts specifically, Kevin?

Sorry, to create a Ghost Town. Maybe that should be part of the show if we are talking about the presence or absence of things.

Is this the eye of the hurricane?
